This was my submission for the Interaction Design Association Student Design Challenge 2015.
The theme was Envisioning the Wearable City.

I hope to actually develop a prototype of this socially mindful wearable but for now it's just a concept.

Millions of volunteers are already out there helping to make their cities a better place, but they don't always have time to sit down and coordinate a volunteer event. Moreover, volunteers don't have a platform for finding other volunteers they could work with in the future or discovering projects happening near them in real time.

My idea is to create a glove that allows volunteers to connect with each other and instantly share where they're volunteering to a network of do-gooders through a high five. When two volunteers high five their profiles will be connected and their location will be shared through an app so others can find opportunities happening in real time and join in.

The simple interaction of a high five now has the power to motivate not only the two people who share it but a whole network of people who want to help their community.
